As part of our annual Halloween celebration, Moloch's Midway hosted a “Theater of Shades & Shadows.” My contribution was a live performance of a silent film. Using strobe lights, actors in masks and a scrim curtain in front of the audience, I suggested the flatness and flickering of a film projection on stage. To document the performance, I filmed the actors under normal lighting and recreated the visual effects, editing the work in Final Cut X.
